Fine Tuning Adjustments
Once Tabber is programmed for a job it may be necessary to fine tune settings for optimum
performance. Any job in memory can be modified or changed at any time before or during
operation. Memory is non-volatile in that once a job is programmed, turning machine OFF or
disconnecting it from its electrical source will not erase memory.
Job can be overwritten at any time.
Side Tab Positioning
Whether you are using
Head 1
or
Head 2
, adjustments
to tab position from lead edge of piece is done in
software. Regardless of whether you are placing one or
three tabs, increasing the number moves the tab to the
right and decreasing the number moves it to the left of
the original setting.
To access this in software, select
Job #
you are
running and then select
Manual
key. Select Head you
want to adjust.
Choosing Head 1 opens into a second screen. Select
Tab/Stamp
, and then select
Position
. Next step is to
select Tab you wish to adjust. Make changes to
position using number keys on Control Panel. A larger
number moves tab to the right and a lower number
moves it to the left. This can be done in tenths of an
inch. When the number is entered, press
SAVE
,
then
press
BACK
key to return to Head selection screen.
Test run the job and recheck.
If you have to adjust Head 2, click
Manual
and select
Head 2
, select
Side Tab
and then
Position
. From
Position
screen select the tab you wish to adjust and
enter the change using number keys, press
SAVE
, then
BACK
to return. Make a test run to check positioning.
