Polar alignment with equatorial pier
This chapter only describes the mechanical part of the polar alignment. The software manual
describes how to perform the polar alignment procedure.
The polar alignment mechanism is located at the base of the equatorial pier.
For the polar alignment unscrew the green marked worm screws by about 10mm. They are not needed for the
alignment, so they have to provide enough clearance for tilting the pier.
Elevation
You can now tilt the pier by loosening or tightening the red marked cylinder head screws in the front and doing
the opposite in the back.
Azimuth
You can rotate the pier by loosening one of the yellow marked worm screws and tightening the other one.

When you finished the polar alignment tighten all the screws, including the green marked worm screws.
