Installing the pier adapter on your concrete pier
If you ordered an equatorial pier, you can ignore this chapter.
Unpack the pier adapter by cutting the white fabric straps of the wooden crate. Then lift the top lid. Remove the
lateral walls by lifting them up.
For shipment the baseplate is screwed to the pier adapter with 2 M16 screws (marked green in the figure
below). Remove them to separate the base plate.

Lay the base plate onto the concrete pier at the desired position. Align it to the north-south direction as shown
in the picture below.
Caution: This only applies to locations on the northern hemisphere. If your setup is located on the southern
hemisphere the plate has to be mounted in the opposite direction.
Be careful not to pinch your fingers when putting the plate onto the foundation! Crushing
hazard!
