6.1.3.4. Pitch Shift Delay
The Pitch Shift Delay works like a tradition style echo/delay but with the ability to add a shift
in pitch everytime the signal is delayed producing almost a descending or ascending pitch
"cascade" effect at higher settings
The controls are:
•
Delay Time (mod param):
Sets the length of the delay. Turning the dial clockwise
increases the delay time; turning in the opposite direction shortens it. Values here
are shown in either bars or milliseconds, depending on how Sync is set (see
below).
•
Tempo Sync:
This is in the dropdown menu just above the delay time parameter.
There are four options which are Time (this allows adjustment of the delay time
in milliseconds) and Sync Straght, Triplet or Dotted. When one of the Sync modes
is switched on, Delay Time is displayed in Bars. If Sync is deactivated, Delay
Time is shown in milliseconds.
•
Stereo Offset:
Offsets the delayed signal in the stereo picture
•
Feedback:
Determines how much of the Pitch Shift Delay's output is fed back into
its own inputs. Higher settings mean that the delay will be heard for a longer
period of time before fading out.
♪
: Setting Feedback to its maximum amount will mean that a signal is looped infinitely and never
fades out. This effectively turns the Delay into a looper! Be aware, that maximum feedback can
overdrive and distort your audio output!
