8.0 Preparing the Balancing
Foreword:
The TRINITY system has its own new method and rules for balancing. The process will differ
from other systems you may have experienced or use daily.
NOTICE
Take time to precisely execute the balancing
procedure. This will enable you to get the TRINITY
system in perfect
SYMMETRY
and
NEUTRAL
BALANCE.
CAUTION
Any inaccuracy will affect performance.
CAUTION
Before you start balancing, make sure:
•
That you are standing on even ground.
•
That Cam Pwr and STAB Pwr are switched OFF.
•
That both docking rings are fully tightened.
•
That a minimum two batteries are used as counterweight.
•
That the Pendulum can rotate freely.
•
That the Joystick is connected the right way.
•
That all components and accessories are mounted to the camera.
•
That the camera is mounted in perfect COG and is neutral and horizontal.
•
That the camera dovetail plate is fully tightened.
•
That the camera dovetail plate is neutral in the center.
•
That the ROLL axes is leveled.
•
That the camera power and video cables are connected correctly.
CAUTION
Due to the fact that your Gimbal is now longer and the camera
setup is much wider, do not pull the top rod of the Docking
Bracket too far out. Keep the Gimbal as close as possible to the
center of the Docking Bracket as pictured above.
