AtmosAir™ Plus Mattress Replacement System (MRS).

The
AtmosAir
Fit MRS
and
AtmosAir
Plus MRS
are non-powered pressure redistribution
mattress replacement systems which uses
Self Adjusting Technology (SAT)
to provide
pressure redistribution therapy. The systems are designed for patients weighing up to
1000 lb (454 kg), with expandability features from 36 in (91 cm) without bolsters to 42 in
to 48 in (107 cm to 122 cm) wide with bolsters on the
AtmosAir
Fit MRS
and 34 in (86 cm)
without bolsters to 41 in to 48 in (104 cm to 122 cm) wide with bolsters on the
AtmosAir
Plus MRS.
Indications
The
AtmosAir
Fit MRS
and
AtmosAir
Plus MRS are indicated for the prevention and
treatment of skin breakdown.
Contraindications
• unstable vertebral fracture
• cervical and skeletal traction
Risks and Precautions
Transfer –
Standard precautions should be taken during patient transfer.
Side Rails and Restraints
–
WARNING:
Use or non-use of restraints, including side rails,
can be critical to patient safety. Serious injury or death can result from the use (potential
entrapment) or non-use (potential patient falls) of side rails or other restraints.

Patient Migration –

than conventional surfaces and may increase the risk of patient movement, sinking
and / or migration into hazardous positions of entrapment and / or inadvertent bed exit.
