WARNING:
NEVER LIFT THE MAIN ASSEMBLY
USING THE LINEAR ACTUATOR AS A HANDLE! LIFT THE
ASSEMBLY FROM THE ENDS. USE AT LEAST 2 PEOPLE TO
LIFT. USE TRANSPORT CART IF AVAILABLE.
NOTE: Be careful not to over-tighten bolts.
Over-tightening can cause damage and
compromise the safety of your lift.
1.
Lift the Scout
MAIN ASSEMBLY
from the shipping container.
1/2" X 2-3/4" SHOULDER BOLT
3/8" X 2" SHOULDER

NOTE: The LIFTING ARM is easily flipped
around the wrong way. Make sure the end
marked “B” is towards the mast, as shown.
Insert the 1.9” [48mm] post of the
MAIN ASSEMBLY
into the deck anchor (
FIGURE A
). Ease the
MAIN ASSEMBLY
down until it rests on the pool/spa deck surface. Rotate the base until the
fixing anchor-tab lines-up with the fixing anchor. Install the ½” x 2” hex bolt & washer to hold
down the lift. Tighten the bolt.
2.
Remove the shipping strap and all
packing from the
ACTUATOR
. Connect
the
LIFTING ARM
between the mast and
the
ACTUATOR
(FIGURE B)
. Tighten nylock
nuts
(PHOTO 1 & PHOTO 2)
