CLEANING
◆
Clean the filtering element (4) with clean,
non-inflammable solvents or solvents
with high volatility point, then let it dry
thoroughly.
◆
Apply a filter oil or a thick oil (SAE 80W-
90) on the whole surface of the filtering
element, then squeeze it to eliminate the
oil in excess.
The filtering element (4) must be
well impregnated, though not
dripping.
CHANGING
◆
Replace the filtering element (4) with a
new one of the same type.
REMOVING THE FRONT FAIRING
◆
Place the vehicle on the stand, see
page 47 (POSITIONING THE VEHICLE
ON THE REAR SUPPORT STAND

).

Set the ignition switch to "
".
◆
+
Release and remove the two screws
(1) at the sides.
◆
+
Release and remove the two upper
screws (2).
On refitting, tighten the screw (2)
moderately, as it sits on plastic.
◆
Lean the front fairing (3) moderately
forward.
◆
Disconnect the connector of the wiring
(4).
◆
Remove the front fairing (3) complete
with headlight.
Make sure to refit the electrical
connector (4) to the matching
connector on refitting.
Handle plastic and paint-finished
parts with care to avoid scra-
tching or damage.
