18.1
During this assembly sequence you will be making four
complete sets. Start by punching out the eight weapons pylons
body WPB. Glue two pylon bodies together using CA+ making
sure to align all edges.
18.2
For ease of assembly later it is recommended to paint the
lower section of the pylons. The scale color is olive drab how-
ever black can be used as well. After painting make sure that
you are still able to slide the 1/8” plywood into the two lower
slots. Sand as necessary.
18.3
Punch out the weapons pylon sides, WPS, from the 3/32”
balsa sheet. Using CA+ glue one on each side of the weapons
pylons bodies.
18.4
Sand the pylons to their finished shape by using the pro-
vided pictures. The front leading edge of the nose is a full
rounded radius. The top portion that will extend past the wings
only has a small radius. The portion that sits on the wings has
no radius. The lower trailing edge has a full radius.
18.5
For ease of covering you may want to finish the pylons
before proceeding onto the next step.
