Punch out the two ¼” balsa lower vertical fin trailing
edge, VF-TE-1, and glue together. Sand the trailing edge of the
vertical fin flat for a good fit of the trailing edge. Glue with
CA+ when complete.

Punch out the two 1/8” plywood vertical fin mounts,
VFM, and trial fit into place. The tabs fit into the slots of the
trailing edge former, VF-3.

Start with building the trailing edge cover. Punch out the
two vertical fin sheeting, VFS-1, from 1/16” balsa sheet, two
vertical trailing edge formers, VTE-1 and 1 VTE-2, from 1/8”
plywood. Using the notches in the sheeting glue the formers
into place.

Punch out the two ¼” balsa sheet vertical fin trailing
edge VTE. Glue the two together by aligning all the surfaces.

Sand the vertical fin assembly trailing edge flat using a
sanding block. Glue the two assemblies together by having the
thinner section of the trailing edge at the top of the cover assem-
bly.

Glue in some scrap 1/16” balsa along the edge so that
when the front and rear covers come into place the edges are
flush.
