Repeat the calibration to calibrate the instrument for the remaining dyes that are

present in the experiments that you will be running.

summary of the calibration results for your records.

Normalization calibration

(TaqMan

Array Card only)

During the normalization calibration, the instrument collects and stores the data from

the normalization standards.

IMPORTANT!

Normalization calibration is only required for the TaqMan

Array

Card block. Normalization calibration is not required for the 96-well plate blocks or

the 384-well plate block.

For the TaqMan

Array Card block, perform a normalization calibration once every

6 months.

During the normalization calibration, the software captures a series of images of each

normalization array card using each instrument filter. The normalization calibration

yields a “Pass” or “Fail” result for each normalization consumable used.

IMPORTANT!

Wear powder-free gloves and safety glasses when you prepare the

array cards.

For detailed instructions to prepare the calibration array card, see “Preparing array

cards for instrument calibration“ on page 37.

Normalization calibration is only required for the TaqMan

Array Card block.

In the QuantStudio

™

Real-Time PCR Software Home tab, click Instrument

Console.

In the Instrument Console, select the icon for your instrument, then click

Manage Instrument.

Note:

If the Manage Instrument button is inactive, add your system to the My

Instruments group.

In the Instrument Manager, start the calibration:

Click Maintenance, then click Normalization.

In the Normalization Calibration screen, click Start Calibration.

In the Normalization Calibration screen, select the reporter and passive dye

combination that you want to calibrate, then perform the calibration as

instructed.
