JP6 Diagnostic and Recovery Mode Jumper
This jumper is primarily used to recover a failed flash attempt. By shorting pins one and
two, you can place your MegaRAC G2 card into
Diagnostics Mode
. By shorting pins two
and three, you can place your MegaRAC G2 card into
Recovery Mode

for more information on how to recover your MegaRAC G2 card. By
default, pins one, two and three are open.

Step 2 Install the Optional Battery and Battery Clip
The MegaRAC G2 on-board battery backup is an optional component. When the
optional battery is installed, your MegaRAC G2 card can stay powered on for 30 minutes
without any external power from the host system or AC adapter.
Installation
To install the Battery Backup Unit, plug the battery cable into the J1 connector and place
the battery pack in between the three mounting holes. Next, align and snap the plastic
battery clip into the three mounting holes over the battery pack. See the diagram on the
right.
