11. Firmware Update

Download the update file to a WiFi capable computer and log in to your Master Lockit’s web interface.
Make sure your WiFi adapter is set to
DHCP
, and use the WiFi’s SSID name as password. And enter
masterlockit.local
or
10.0.0.1
in the address line pf your browser. Select “Firmwareupdate” from the
“System” dropdown menu on the upper right corner. Select “Choose File”, browse the location of the
file just downloaded, it should read “update-xxxx.tar.gz”, then click on “Upload & Restart”. Your Master
Lockit should now automatically update and reboot when finished.
Note: if the update involved changes to the TC generator firmware the Lockit circuitry will sequently shut
down until both LEDs start to flash alternating and finally goes into charging mode with the red LED on solid
and the green flashing. Do not interrupt this process or remove power until this stage has completed. Now
reboot the Master Lockit by pressing the 3 function wheel as usual. The display should now welcome you with
a new firmware version.
