INTRODUCTION
The DLM-600 is an advanced microprocessor controlled GSM/GPRS dialer especially designed for the
security industry and has various applications.
With a computer or laptop equipped with the Alpha tool software, all data can be programmed or
modified. In this manual the DLM-600 is described as a pcb only (art. code. 004025), but there is also a
model available in a synthetic casing (art. code. 004026) and a model in a synthetic casing with power
supply and battery pack 1600mAh (art. code. 004027).
The DLM-600 is equipped with an analog telephone line input, 4 inputs and 4 outputs. The DLM-600 has
2 main modes: GSM adapter and GSM/GPRS dialer.
In the
GSM adapter mode
(without being connected to an analog telephone line) the DLM-600 will
generate its own telephone line voltage and dial tone and transmit via GSM. If the DLM-600 is used in
the
GSM back-up mode
(connected between the analog telephone line and the existing analog dialer)
then the DLM-600 will automatically switch over to GSM if the analog telephone line disappears.
The DLM-600 can be connected to an existing analog telephone line and contains telephone line
monitoring. When activating one or more of the inputs the DLM-600 will transmit an alarm to maximum 8
monitoring station and / or private (mobile) telephone numbers. For each input you can program to which
phone numbers the alarm should be reported.
In the
GSM dialer mode
the DLM-600 will transmit alarms to a maximum of 8 central station of private
telephone numbers if one of the inputs is activated. For each input you can program which telephone
numbers are called.
In the
GPRS dialer mode
alarms will only be transmitted to a central station using the SIA HS IP
protocol. The central station must have a RC-4001 IP receiver card present to be able to receive the
alarm messages.
The four outputs can be activated by a particular event or remotely activated by a DTMF telephone. If the
output is triggered by a particular event you can program whether the output should remain active until
the event is restored, or that the output is activated for a preset time.
Due to its universal design the DLM-600 is the ideal dialer for reporting alarms to a central station or
private (mobile) phones. Besides applications in the security industry, the DLM-600 also can be used for
any application were critical business processes must be monitored.
INSTALLATION
I
NPUTS
The inputs of the DLM-600 are standard floating contacts, which are triggered when pulled to ground
(0V). By default, all inputs are programmed as normally closed. To activate an input the input must be
pulled to the 0V. Once the floating contact is opened, the input of the DLM-600 is pulled up and the input
is seen as open.
T
ELEPHONE LINE
The telephone line connections ((CMK and LINE) are only used in the
GSM adapter
of
GSM back-up
mode. In the back-up mode the LINE connection on the board is connected to the existing analog
telephone line. The CMK connection is connected to an existing analog (PSTN) dialer. Normally the
LINE connection is connected to the CMK connection thus allowing the analog dialer to transmit over the
analog telephone line. If the analog telephone line disappears the DLM-600 will connect the CMK
connection to the GSM module and force alarm transmission via GSM.
