OPERATION
The DLM-600 has four different operation modes: Adapter, Backup Adapter, GSM dialer and GPRS
dialer.
ADAPTER
In the adapter mode the DLM-600 works as a GSM converter and generates an analog line on the CMK
connection. A connected PSTN dialer or control panel with integrated analog dialer can now transmit
alarms via the DLM-600 as if it is connected to a regular analog Telephone line. The use of inputs and
RS-485 is not possible in this mode.
BACKUP
ADAPTER
In the backup adapter mode, the DLM-600 is connected between the existing analog (PSTN) telephone
line and PSTN dialer or control panel with integrated analog dialer. The CMK connector on the DLM-600
is connected to the PSTN dialer or analog dialer in the control panel. The LINE connector is connected
to the existing analog telephone line. If the analog telephone line is disconnected or fails then the CMK
connection is redirected to the GSM module. The operation is similar to the adapter mode. In Backup
mode adapter is also possible to force a switchover to GSM if a predefined prefix is programmed in front
of the telephone number.
