POI Alerts
As you drive, CoPilot can alert you with a voice
prompt and a message window on your screen each
time you approach a Point of Interest. To use this
feature:
1. Toggle the
POI Alerts
button on in the lower
right corner of the Guidance screen.
2. In the Options window, click
POI Alerts
.
3. In the
Select POIs to be reported
scroll list
check all categories of POIs you want to know
about. For example, you might only want to
know about restaurants, gas stations, and nature
attractions.
4. Use the
Search __ miles ahead
pick list to
indicate how far up the road you want each POI
to be when an alert is triggered.
5. Use the sliding bar under
Report POIs which
are
to indicate whether POIs trigger an alert
only when precisely on your route, or if those
close to your route will also be reported.
6. The
Hide windows after
pick list lets you select
how long you want each POI alert to remain on
your screen.
7. When an alert window appears, you can click the
forward arrow to scroll through nearby POIs,
click the
Add Stop
button to add this POI as a
stop, or close the window.
