10 Device configuration
After installation,
Press-Right
must be set up.
Thanks to its many configuration options,
Press-Right
can meet all your needs.
The configuration can only be changed by entering the hardware password.
To set up
Press-Right,
access the
TOOLS > ADVANCED OPTIONS
menu.
The
ADVANCED OPTIONS
menu includes the following sub-menus:
OTHER FUNCTIONS
In this sub-menu, it is possible to set the time, if the clock is installed; assign a name to the tool,
to the check point outputs and the enabling inputs; set up
TEST
inputs for additional monitors;
enter the tool address for the RS485 serial communication.
Assigning a name to the tool allows the
Winscope
software to recognize the tool and use its
settings, it also facilitates the identification of a network.
The address is used when using the slow serial communication. The RS485 serial port that
allows the parallel connection of several tools to a single master hub. In this case, each tool
must have a unique address (number 1 to 100) to be detected.
DIAGNOSIS
In this sub-menu it is possible to monitor the operation of each input and output (paragraph
10.3). It is also possible to calibrate the transducers and choose the unit of measurement to use.
SET-UP
The

menu include the following items that will be discussed in the following
paragraphs:
GENERAL OPTIONS
It allows to set up
Press-Right
based on the type of press connected and activate additional
functions. See chapter 10.1.
JOBS PHASES CHANNELS
It allows to set up the job selection mode, the multiple-phase operation and the multiple
load-cell operation.
INPUT/OUTPUT SETUP
It allows to set up functions for each input and output.
MOTOR SET-UP
It allows the configuration of the cylinder. Some parameters are protected by a special
password that is provided by Alfamatic.
PASSWORD
In this sub-menu, the list of users can be managed. Operation is described in chapter 11.
