Backhaul interface
The following two backhaul (BH) configurations are supported on the 9764 CMCO:
Dual SFP, where
–
The “BH 1” port is used for the backhaul traffic that hosts the backhaul
SFP. The
backhaul SFP can be either GigE (electrical or optical) or GPON SFP.
–
The “BH 2” port is used for daisy chaining to another 9764 CMCO that hosts
the
daisy chaining SFP. The daisy chaining SFP is always a GigE optical SFP.
SFP and Power over Ethernet (PoE)+ (IEEE 802.3at), where
–
The “BH 1” port is used for the backhaul traffi
c that hosts the PoE+ backhaul unit,
which powers a PoE+ capable Powered Device (PD). For example, a wireless
backhaul.
–
The “BH 2” port is used for daisy chaining to another 9764 CMCO that hosts
the
daisy chaining SFP. The daisy chaining SFP is always a GigE optical SFP.
Note:
Initially the PoE+ backhaul module supports PoE+ functionality only on the
port used for the main backhaul interface (BH1). Therefore any supported Powered
Device (PD) must be the main backhaul unit.
