INTERIOR EQUIPMENT
10.1 Head Compartment & Marine Toilet
The head compartment is equipped with a sink with a hot and
cold faucet. The head sink faucet converts to a removable
shower. The shower head is equipped with a valve that allows
the shower water to be turned on and off without affecting
the temperature to conserve water while showering. Make
sure the Shower Pump breaker on the cabin DC panel and the
Shower switch in the head switch panel are on before using
the shower.
There is storage in cabinets above and below the sink. An
opening panel in the headliner provides access to helm
components and electronics. Ventilation is provided by an air
conditioning duct and an exhaust fan. There is also a 12-volt
overhead light and 120-volt G.F.I. duplex outlet. The light,
shower sump pump and fan are activated by switches in the
head switch panel on the wall above the toilet.
Marine Head System
Your boat is equipped with an electric china head and holding
tank as standard equipment. Switches in the head switch panel
above the sink control the electric head. The flush water is
supplied by a thru hull fitting located in the starboard stern
bilge and the raw water wash down pump.
To use the toilet, make sure the Head breaker on the DC
breaker panel and the Washdown switch in the helm are on.
Then activate the fill switch to wet the inside of the bowl
until the desired water level is reached. After use, pump
to discharge the waste to the holding tank with the lower
switch. The waste is transferred into the holding tank where
it remains until it is pumped out by a waste dumping station
or the overboard macerator discharge system.
Holding Tank and Macerator Discharge Pump
The holding tank is located in the bilge, starboard of the helm
and outboard of the storage box. The overboard macerator
discharge pump is located in the starboard stern bilge. When
the tank is full, it must be pumped out by an approved waste
dumping station through the “waste” deck fitting or by the
overboard macerator discharge system, when legal to do so.
Monitor the waste level in the holding tank and pump it out
before it is completely full. If the holding tank is allowed to
overfill, the waste will overflow into the tank vent and then
overboard.
To operate the macerator discharge pump, turn the Macerator
breaker in the cabin DC panel on until the tank is emptied.
