Cassette compartment
DATA REC switch
Set to ON to record the programmed data at the beginning of a timer
recording.
PRESET button
Used for channel presetting.
AUTO button
To perform automatic presetting.
ERASE/ADD button
To erase or add a channel.
TV/CATV button
To select the TV or CATV mode.
VIDEO SYSTEM button (AUTO/MANUAL)
To select the color system for playback.
COUNTER MEMORY button
To activate the counter memory function.
COUNTER RESET button
To reset the tape counter to zero.
INDEX button
To operate the index search.
SP/EP button
To select the recording tape speed.
DISPLAY button
To turn on/off the on-screen display.
-/+ buttons (PICTURE, SLOW)
To adjust the picture sharpness or to select the speed of the slow-
motion playback.
EJECT button
To eject a cassette from the unit.
AUTO TRACKING button (ON/MANUAL)
To select the auto or manual tracking control mode.
Normally set this button to ON.
CHANNEL buttons ( DOWN/UP )
To select the channels.
Keep the button pressed to change the channels continuously.
The channel numbers, LINE1 and LINE 2 are selected in sequence.
SLOW button
To get a slow-motion playback.
