Ensure the RF connector is completely sealed from the weather.
4.3 Connect Power drop cable to the AirSynergy
4.3.1 Plan the position of the drop cable run from the AirSynergy unit to the Power supply. The
standard cable supplied provides for a run length of 30m. (For run lengths greater than 30m please
consult Airspan Product Management).
Uncoil the cable and secure with the connector hood just below the AirSynergy unit. When securing
the cable, make sure that there is no tension on the connector so that it is easy to disconnect and re-
connect for maintenance activities in the future. With the pins correctly located, the connector is
secured to the unit with a locking ring that is screwed into place. Use firm hand pressure only, the
connector has a built in sealing ring.
Caution:
The internal plastic parts of the mating connector are keyed. Take care
to align these by visual inspection or by gently rotating the connector body until
the key way sections align and the pins go in before tightening the locking ring.
