This specification define the characteristics of the
OPTI-NO gas supply device in the case of the Taema
CL310001 pressure regulator not being used.
The
OPTI-NO unit and the gas supply device are designed to be used with NO/N
2
mixtures with an NO content
≤
1000 ppm.
The material of the components in contact with the gas must be NO compatible, in order to avoid it decomposing
and NO
x
forming.
Cylinder connection: if there are no specific connectors for this mixture (see national standards) a Nitrogen type
connector should preferably be used.
The
OPTI-NO unit must be supplied at a pressure which can be adjusted between 0 and 8 relative bar.
It must be protected against any possible excess pressures from 9 relative bar upwards.
It must also be protected against impurities or particles entering by means of a grade 40 sintered stainless steel
filter (stops 99.9% of particles of diameter

A GYROLOK
®
‚ type stainless steel «double bush» system for 6 mm tubes must be used for the connection to
the unit.
The pressure regulation device must have the following characteristics:

The materials used must be checked to ensure they are bio-compatible.
The use of any other device than the pressure regulator code CL310001 must be validated by a check of the
accuracy of the concentrations of NO:

0.5 ppm from 1 to 5 ppm

1 ppm from 6 to 10 ppm

2 ppm from 11 to 20 ppm
