The other option allows you to create the program where the packages from the same
seed lot have a variable number of seeds. For example; you might want to count 4
packages of 100 seeds and 2 packages of 150 seeds from each seed lot.
The next screen is:

When batch counting, the machine uses two counting speeds. The high speed is used
most of the time. When the count is nearing the limit and the valve is about to close, low
speed is used to increase the accuracy of the cut-off point.
There are a number of factors to take into consideration in selecting the speed. Lower
speeds give more accurate counts, but of course may take longer. Also, if the speed is too
high, you may not be able to change the packet fast enough to keep the machine running
all the time. It will stop and wait for a packet change but this result in an interrupted flow
which may actually take longer than if you used a lower flow rate. Generally, it is best to
enter a low flow rate to start with and increase it later if desired.
