Status Reporting Structure 4338B
Operation Status Register
The Operational Status Register group provides information about the state of the 4338B
measurement system.

9 512 BUF2 is full.
8 256 BUF1 is full.
7 128 Correcting|The 4338B is currently performing a correction procedure .
6 Always 0
5 32 W aiting for Trigger|The 4338B is in a \waiting for trigger" state of the
trigger model.
4 16 Measuring|The 4338B is actively measuring.
3 Always 0
2 4 Ranging|The 4338B is currently changing its range .
1 2 Settling|The 4338B is waiting for signals it controls to stabilize enough to
begin measurement.
0 Always 0

4 16 This bit is set when the measurement has completed.
3 Always 0 (zero)
2 4 This bit is set when the ranging has completed.
1 2 This bit is set when the settling has completed.

Questionable Status Register
The Questionable Status Register group provides information about the quality of the 4338B's
output and measurement data.
The 4338B has no operation to report an event to the questionable status register , all of whose
bits are always set to 0.
