OPERATION
Warning: Be sure no one is between the
tractor and the implement while the
tractor is being positioned during the
hitching operation.
PROCEDURE FOR HITCHING
With the mulcher on a level surface and the
transport wheels blocked:
1. Back the tractor into the hitch clevis so that the
holes align. If the tongue needs to be raised,
connect the transport cylinder hydraulic lines to
the tractor outlets. Extend the transport cylinder
until the tongue clevis raises to the drawbar
height.
2. Set the tractor brakes and turn the tractor
engine off.
3. Install an agricultural hitch pin with a locking
device. The hitch pin must be rated for the size
tractor pulling the implement. Secure the
locking device. Place tongue jack in transport
position.
4. Connect the hydraulic lines to the tractor.
PROCEDURE FOR UNHITCHING
1. Locate the mulcher and tractor on a level
surface.
2. Lower the unit to the ground. Install blocks
ahead of and behind the mulcher ground
wheels.
3. After relieving the hydraulic pressure,
disconnect the hydraulic lines from the tractor.
4. Lower the tongue jack until the hitch pin is free.
5. Remove the hitch pin.
