10.19 Ignition and Flame Detection Sensor Electrode Positioning
For the heater to work properly the electrodes must be positioned as listed below and shown in
Figure 10-7:

To insure correct functioning of the burner, the distances listed below should be carefully
verified by hand using calipers.
•
The distance between the ignition electrodes “A” and “B”, must be between 0.08 in (2
mm), and 0.10 in (2.5 mm);
•
The distance of the ignition electrodes to the burner surface must be between 0.20 in
(5.0 mm), and 0.22 in (5.5 mm);
•
The distance of the flame detection electrode to the burner surface must be between
0.23 in (6.0 mm), and 0.27 in (7.0 mm).
