Advantech SOM-ETX Design Guide

2.2.7 SOM-4450

Many gains were made by utilizing the AMD Geode™ GX1 processor. The GX1
processor provides the lowest power consumption/highest speed combination of any
x86 processors at these performance levels. These processors also support most
popular web plug-ins and leverages existing software and hardware investments.
The GX1 processor brings 0.18-micron technology to the Advantech System on
Module line and allows users to enjoy the added speed and efficiency 0.18-micron
technology has to offer. Combined with the CS5530A system chipset and RTL 8139
Ethernet chipset (optional for Intel solution), the SOM-4450 is a low power, high
performance platform ready to be integrated with application customer solution
boards covering multiple applications.
