PPC-102 User's Manual
4.1 Introduction
The PPC-102 system BIOS and custom drivers are located in a
128 Kbyte, 32-pin (JEDEC spec.) Flash ROM device, designated U19. A
single Flash chip holds the system BIOS, VGA BIOS, and network Boot
ROM image. The display can be configured via software. This method
minimizes the number of chips and eases configuration. The display
BIOS is changed by reprogramming the Flash chip for different display
usages.
4.2 Utility Disk
The PPC-102 is supplied with a software utility disk in the accessory box.

4.3 VGA Display Software Configuration
The PPC-102’s on-board VGA interface supports a wide range of popular
LCD, EL, gas plasma flat panel displays and traditional analog CRT
monitors. With on-board 1 MB display memory, the interface can drive
CRT displays or color panel displays with resolutions up to 1024 x 768 in
256 colors. It is also capable of extending up to 2 MB of display memory
to provide resolutions of 1024 x 768 in 64 K colors.
