SETTINGS
Settings can be made either through the front panel or using a PC equipped with
terminal emulation software. Proper operation of the TTC-1000 has been verified
with Windows Terminal and HyperTerminal. For settings through a PC you will
need a female to male DB-9 null modem cable. The TTC-1000 is fixed to
communicate at 9600 bits/sec with 8 bits, no parity and one stop bit.
Setting sheets for programming from the front panel are in Section 14. Setting
sheets for programming from a PC are in Section 15. The user should thoroughly
familiarize themselves with the necessary settings and record their desired
settings on the sheets provided.
4.1
Programming Settings Through the Front Panel
Units equipped with Tap Position Monitoring capability have three menu
categories for programming their settings labeled SP, CFG and TPM. The Set
point SP PRGM menu contains the settings for basic temperature and load set
points and logic. CFG is the Configuration menu for general unit configuration
settings. The TPM PRGM menu contains the settings for optically isolated digital
inputs and Tap Position Monitoring features.

You cannot enter any of the PROGRAM menus unless you enter the correct
password. The TTC-1000 recognizes two passwords, one programmed and a
super user password. The password programmed at the factory is 0000. The
super user password is 0905 and cannot be changed.
