Note:
If the system is configured with a Button Height Device, during blade
installation, the system performs Contact Height on the chuck, followed by a
Button height. This process updates the value of Chuck to NCH/Button Delta.
It is recommended to perform a Chuck to Non-Chuck Delta Measurement
procedure only with a blade that has been dressed or worked with.
4.11.1
Performing Chuck to Non-Chuck Delta Measurement
After mounting the blade, use the software to perform the Chuck to Non-
Chuck Delta Measurement procedure. This teaches the system the
difference in height between the Height Device and the cutting chuck.
To perform chuck to non-chuck delta measurement:
1.
In the application, from the Main Menu, press
Maintenance >
Functions and I/O > Height
; the Functions and I/O window appears
in the Height view.
2.
Press the
Chuck to Height Device/Measure
button; the system
performs Chuck Height, followed by NCH measurement, and then
calibrates the two values. The values appear in the Process Height
window.
3.
Press
Height 2
and then press the
Chuck to Height
Device/Measure
button; the system performs Chuck Height,
followed by NCH measurement, and then calibrates the two values.
The values appear in the Process Height window.
4.
Press
Accept
.
4.11.2
Performing a Cut Test
Perform cut-testing after all installation procedures have been completed.
To perform a cut test:
1.
Create a test recipe (see the Recipe Builder chapter in the Operations
Manual).
2.
Cut a “test” workpiece.
3.
Examine the workpiece after cutting to verify that the required
specifications have been achieved.
Note:
The blade should be dressed before performing a cut test (see the
Operations Manual). You can also run the test procedures referred to in the
Field Acceptance Test Supplement (document P/N 97900-9007-000-XX).
