Installing the PYRO ProDV hardware:
Be sure to read the PYRO ProDV Hardware install guide. The install
guide shows you step-by-step instructions for installation of the
PYRO ProDV PCI card.
Move on to installing the Media Studio Pro 6.0 software only if the
PYRO hardware is properly installed. If the PYRO card is listed in
Device Manager under 1394 Bus Controller with no exclamation marks
and no conicts, then the PYRO is properly installed
PYRO does require the use of an IRQ. The IRQ can be shared, if the
motherboard allows for sharing. Most new motherboards allow IRQ’s
to be shared, but not all motherboards are created equal. Check our
on-line help at

for help on setting up IRQ steering
if you encounter problems at this stage.
Installing Media Studio Pro 6.0
1. Insert the Media Studio Pro CD into your CD-ROM drive.
2. INSTALL Media Studio Pro. Follow the installation instructions.
INSTALL EVERYTHING including Quick Time 4 and the Microsoft
NetShow services.
3. If you are using Windows 98 SE be sure to install the Microsoft
DV Update from the Media Studio install screen. The Microsoft
Windows 98 SE DV Update is listed under “Drivers”.

DO NOT INSTALL THE DV Update
if you are using Windows
2000 or Win NT4.0
5. Install the other PYRO ProDV software packages; Animation
Master 2000, Boris FX, Pixelan Spice Master, Acid Style and
Sound Forge FX 4.5 by following the installation instructions
for each application.
