3.1 Installing the CPU
The cPCI-3840 supports the Intel® Pentium® M and Celeron® M
processors. The CPU socket is located in the middle of the CPU
Core Module as shown in Figure 4 below.
Remove the CPU from its packaging and place it carefully in the
CPU socket as shown in Figure 4 below. Be sure to align the gold
triangle on the corner of the chip with the corner of the socket that
is missing a pin. Press down gently on the chip to ensure that it is
securely in place, and then use a small flathead screwdriver to
lock the CPU into position.
