The ICONE index is calculated by the product once every 24 hours using the
different measurements taken by the embedded CO2 sensor.
If a blackout period is activated in the product, the calculation of the ICONE index
does not consider that period. The analysis is only performed during the active
period.

CAUTION
If the CO2 scanning frequency configured in the product is greater than 1
hour, the ICONE index calculation will be less accurate and more
pessimistic than the actual situation.
ANNEX 10: USE OF THE VOC SENSOR
Detection Method
The COMFORT Serenity product incorporates an MOX gas sensor that is sensitive
to a wide range of VOCs typically found in buildings. This VOC sensor requires no
maintenance.
The product monitors the VOC level and reports it as an index. This detection
method does not distinguish between different volatile compounds measured in a
room but provides information about relative changes.
Interpretation of the VOC Index
To inform the end user about the intensity of a VOC event, the algorithm embedded
in the sensor maps all VOC events to a VOC index scale ranging from 1 to 500 VOC
