Chapter 8: Exception notification
This unit is capable of notifying you that a major error has occurred. Those events are:
•
HDD Full:
The Hard drive has become full
•
IP Conflict:
Another device on the network has the same IP and is impeding network
transmission
•
Access Err:
the client connecting to the DVR may have an extremely poor connection, or
the client software is defective
•
Video Error:
this indicates a recording error
•
HDD Error:
this indicates a major failure related to the hard drive
•
Network Er:
This indicates a network error
•
PAL/NTS.Err:
This indicates a general video error
To enable Exception Notification:
Select the event you wish to be notified about. You can then select whether the DVR should email you,
trigger the alarm output, or enable the built in alarm buzzer. Keep in mind the email settings must be setup
in the network section for this to work correctly.
