If the HDD hasn’t been formatted, or there is no hard drive in the unit, the DVR may restart if it

does not receive any user input.

Disconnect the network cable from the DVR. A serious network failure could cause the DVR to

restart repeatedly.

Check the DVR Power Source

Verify there are no loose connections between the DVR and the wall outlet or surge

protector

Verify the DVR power supply outputs 12vDC.
