When the alarm history log is full (50 alarms) the oldest alarm is lost when a new
alarm occurs.
There are three types of alarms:
• Warnings are informational only. They do not change the operation of
the chiller.
• Compressor critical faults prevent the compressors, and therefore the
circuit, from running.
• System critical alarms prevent the entire chiller from running.
Alarms remain active until the system is taken offline, the circuit is
disabled or the alarm has been reset. Each alarm is in one of three reset categories:
• Auto reset. The alarms in this category are automatically reset when the
alarm condition is no longer present.
• User reset. The alarms in this category require a user to reset them from
the display to be reset.
• Auto reset until time. The alarms in this category have 2 variables
(number of alarms (X) & time (Y) in seconds). The alarm will auto reset until it
occurs more than X times in Y seconds at which point it must be reset by a user.
Optionally, two variables can be sampled at the time of the alarm. The
samples are stored in the alarm history.
