5-2 Lifting Remote Condensers
Use only qualified personnel, using proper equipment when lifting and positioning the condensers.
Lifting brackets or holes are located at the corners for the use of lifting slings. Use spreader bars when
lifting to apply the lifting force vertically. Under no circumstances use the coil headers or return bends
in the lifting or moving of the condensers.
RIGGING INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Spreader bar must be used for all rigging.
2) Under no circumstance should coil connections, coil headers, return bends, or electrical box be used in lifting or moving the condenser.
3) Under no circumstance should any person be under the condenser.
4) If there are more than four lifting points on the condenser, more than four lifting points should be used.
5) Under no circumstance should the condenser lifting points be used to lift a condenser that has been attached to other equipment, like a
Steel frame. If condenser has been attached to other equipment, use lifting points provided on other equipment to lift complete assembly.
