There is only one system volume even if
multiple Windows operating systems are
installed on the computer.

Boot volume
Type or select:
[BOOT]
Refers to the registered machine's boot
volume.
The boot volume contains the Windows
folder and the supporting files for the
Windows operating system (typically
located in the Windows\System32 folder).
It may or may not be the same as the
system volume.
If multiple operating systems are installed
on the computer, this is the boot volume of
the operating system in which the agent is
working.

All fixed volumes
Type or select:
[Fixed Volumes]
Refers to all volumes other than removable
media. Fixed volumes include volumes on
SCSI, ATAPI, ATA, SSA, SAS and SATA
devices, and on RAID arrays.
Linux volumes
First partition on the
first IDE hard disk of
a Linux machine
Type or select:
/dev/hda1
hda1 is the standard device name for the
first partition of the first IDE hard disk
drive. For more details, see "Note on Linux
machines" below.
First partition on the
first SCSI hard disk of
a Linux machine
Type or select:
/dev/sda1
sda1 is the standard device name for the
first partition of the first SCSI hard disk
drive. For more details, see "Note on Linux
machines" below.
First partition on the
first software RAID
hard disk of a Linux
machine
Type or select:
/dev/md1
md1 is the standard device name for the
first partition of the first software RAID
drive. For more details, see "Note on Linux
machines" below.
The names of templates are case-sensitive.
Note:
When backing up virtual machines by using Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Agent for ESX/ESXi,
[All
Volumes]
is the only template that can be used.
What does a disk or volume backup store?
For supported file systems, a disk or volume backup stores only those sectors that contain data. This
reduces the resulting backup size and speeds up the backup and recovery operations.
