Scale to Scale Data Transfer
You can transfer scale data from one scale to another; in essence, you
can clone a scale.
This is NOT a network function nor can it
become one. Scale to scale data transfer uses serial (RS-232)
communication to transfer data, which can only be wired from 1
scale to another.

You need to purchase the Scale-to-Scale cable in order to connect 2
LS-100s together. There is also a PC-to-Scale cable that is included
with the LS-100 Software Package. You can also make either cable
yourself by using the following diagrams:

To transfer data from Scale-to-Scale:
1. Place both scales together.
2. Make sure that the Power Switch is off on both scales.
3. Connect the Scale-to-Scale cable: it does not matter which side
you plug where because both sides of the cable are identical.
4. Turn both scales on and wait for them to go to the
Initial State
.

On the scale with the data (“Source” scale):
Follow steps 1 to 3 of Entering Main Menu.
