Installation & Operation Manual - Model AVR6000
C6
C.2 Replacing the Standard speed (-07 type) Actuator
Tools Required:
#2 Philips Head Screwdriver, 10mm deep-socket or open-end wrench
Parts Required:
Actuator, Standard-speed (Accutrol PN 20-0057)
C.2.1 Install Actuator:
Install the actuator over the drive shaft and slide the back end into the anti-rotation pin
so the actuator engages over the “T” of the anti-rotation pin.
C.2.2 Secure Actuator to Drive Shaft:
Verify the actuator base is still engaged with the anti-
rotation “T” pin. Finger-tighten the (2) 10mm nuts onto the
“U bolt”, then using a 10mm socket, torque the (2) 10mm
nuts between 6 and 7 ft-lbs.
Verify the shaft is secured to the “U-bolt” clamp by
pressing the clutch while rotating the “U-bolt”.
C.2.3 Setting the First End Stop:
Press the clutch and rotate “U bolt” so the valve is in the
fully-closed position then release the clutch.
Loosen the screw located on the top of the End Stop,
slide the Stop towards the “U bolt” so the two parts come
in contact, then secure the End Stop in position by
tightening the Phillips head screw.
C.2.4 Setting the Second Stop:
Repeat the process described above, however rotate the
“U-bolt” so the valve is in the fully-open position.
C.2.5 Apply Power and Run Adaption:
Connect power and signal wires to the actuator. If this is
the first time the actuator is being powered up, the
actuator will automatically begin the adaption process and
the LED status light will turn yellow. If the actuator does
not automatically initiate the adaption process, press and
hold the adaption button for a couple seconds. The
actuator will slowly rotate to the fully-closed and fully-
open positions hitting the end stops in the process. Once
both stop positions have been learned, the actuator will
begin normal operation.
The actuator installation process has been completed.
