Balancer
The Balancer Menu provides access to AVR parameters and features that are
commonly used by the airflow Balancer during the startup process. Each item in the
Balancer menu is briefly described below.
6.5.3.5.1
Calibration Adjustments
provides access to measured parameters that may require
Balancer adjustments to be entered to correlate value with a field measurement.
6.5.3.5.1.1
The
Supply and Exhaust Airflow Cal Adjust
Tools provide an equal % calibration
adjustment function that is described below.
The Equal % Cal. Adj. is a single-step field calibration method which does not
overwrite the factory calibration of the AVR6000. Using this function is not normally
required (or advisable) and is only provided as a tool for the Balancer to correlate
the AVR measurement to a field measurement. The graph below shows the effect
the Equal % Cal Adj. has over the entire Airflow/ Temperature operating range.

Caution:
The Equal % Cal. Adj. should only be performed if the field measurement is
taken in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE STD 111 with the minimum requirements
satisfied, otherwise the calibration adjustment may reduce the accuracy of the AVR.
