WORKING WITH STORED SAMPLE MEASUREMENTS
The instrument may store and remember up to 500 sample results. There are two
situations in which it may be necessary to select one of the stored results. First, to
examine data for a sample other than the last one measured. Second, to identify a stored
sample as the standard to be used for color difference calculations. The
PICK
branch of
the instrument control menu is used for these selections.
Changing the active sample
To see multiple displays for multiple samples, you must be able to change the
measurement display and change the sample. To achieve this, set the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys to
Toggle Display
and use the
PICK
branch of the instrument control menu
to select samples. The sample result currently being displayed is called the “active”
sample. Each time a measurement is made, the last measured sample becomes the
“active” sample. The
PICK
branch of the instrument control menu allows the “active”
sample to be changed.
Follow the path
READY-to-MEASURE
MODE to Pick
MODE to Pick Standard
UP to Pick Active
MODE to Selection Display
Here the display will read:
In this display the number 0000 will change with the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys when
selecting each stored sample. The second line (xxxxxxxxxxxx) may contain a sample or
standard name if the sample measurement has been stored on the instrument from a
personal computer. In most cases this line will read
Measurement XXXX
. When you
have changed the sample number with the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys, press the square
Mode
key to return to
Ready-to-Measure
display. This is now the “active” sample and
the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys can be used to “walk” through the enabled types of
measurement displays for this sample. The next time you make a measurement, the new
measurement will be stored at the end of the current sample set and this newly-measured
will be the “active” sample for display.
Sample 0000 is
