6.2 Connection for MIG/MAG welding
Cables and lines must be connected to the front and back side as shown in the following figures:
6.2.1 Connecting the cable assembly
1
Disconnect the power supply from the power source.
2
Rotate the plug clockwise until the connection is secure.
3
Connect the cable assembly’s gas hose to the gas cylinder's pressure reducer or gas supply.
4
Connect the cable assembly’s blue hose to the coolant supply
5
Connect the cable assembly’s red hose to the coolant return
.
NOTICE
• Ensure clear access to the control elements and connections.
• The surface on which the equipment is placed may not have an incline of more than 10°.
• Select a location that ensures that the wire feed distance is short and that the wire can be fed in a straight line.
• Protect the components against rain and direct sunlight.
• Prevent dust and other foreign substances from entering the system’s cooling air stream.
• Use the device only in dry, clean and well-ventilated rooms.
WARNING
Risk of injury
Serious injuries may occur if shielding gas cylinders are handled improperly.
• Observe the gas manufacturer’s instructions and regulations that apply to compressed air.
• Ensure that gas cylinders are placed only in their designated location and secure them.
• Ensure that the shielding gas cylinder does not become hot.
• Establish all shielding gas connections so that they are gas-tight.

NOTICE
• Ensure that the coolant supply and return hoses have been correctly installed.
Coolant supply = blue, coolant return = red
• We recommend coolant BTC-50 NF for up to 50 °C.
• To ensure the maximum cooling capacity, check the level of the coolant regularly.
