10 Troubleshooting iCAT mini
Cable assembly
cannot be inserted
in the
iCAT mini
• Plug-in connection and gas
hose still mounted
• Dismantle plug-in connection and
gas hose
• Cable assembly flange is
incorrectly mounted on the
release flange
• Check alignment
Inaccurate welding
torch reset • Dirt deposits in the housing • Remove dirt deposits, clean
housing
• iCAT mini damaged • Verification by qualified personnel
Gas loss • O-ring seal at the liner
fitting damaged
• Replace O-ring seal
• O-ring seal at the welding
torch neck damaged
• Replace O-ring seal
• Machine-side shielding gas
connector leaking
• Replace shielding gas hose if
needed
Welding wire is not
correctly fed • Wire conduit coil is dirty • Disassemble wire conduit coil and
air-blast with compressed air
• Wear safety goggles


• Wire conduit coil worn • Replace wire conduit coil
• Wire conduit coil cut too
short
• Mount new wire conduit coil
• Wire guide soiled by wire
wear (model with wire

• Disassemble wire guide and air-

and check for proper function.
• Wire brake is worn. • Replace wire brake.
Wire brake does
not function
properly.
Welding wire is not
gripped when
robot moves. • Compressed air hose is not
connected or is blocked.
• Connect the compressed air
supply, remove kinks.
• Compressed air does not
turn on.
• Check if the compressed air valve
for switching on the wire brake
function switches.
• Wire brake mechanism is
blocked.
• Neckliner is not mounted. • Mount the neckliner.
