Collect the Sample

For Venous or Arterial Samples for ACT Testing:

Use a plain, plastic syringe or plastic evacuated tube with no anticoagulant, activators,
or serum separator. Test must be performed immediately upon sample collection.
Prepare the Analyzer

c. Scan the lot number on the cartridge pouch.
Position barcode 3-9 inches from scanner
window on the analyzer. Press and hold
to activate the scanner. Align the red laser light
so it covers the entire barcode. The analyzer will
beep when it reads the barcode successfully.
