IRECTORY
Pressing the
D
key on the Handset allows you to access the
Directory. The Directory lets you store any 30 names and numbers you
choose. Read the following instructions or press
D
and follow the
display prompts to view, save, change, enter or delete items.
— Press
[
or
]
to move through
the Directory. If
...
appears
on the Handset’s display, press
>
to view further information
on that item.
— Once in the Directory, use the
keypad to move to the
Directory section which begins
with that letter (see "Names,
Numbers and Characters" on
page 24 for instructions on
using the keypad’s alpha and
numeric features).
— Telephone numbers may be 24
digits long.
— Names may be letters,
numbers or a combination of
both.
— Names may be 16 characters
long and are stored
alphabetically by the first letter
entered.
— A number can be stored by
itself, but a name without a
number cannot.
— Directory entries are sorted
by the first character only.
— Erase entries by pressing
d
twice when the
name/number is on the display.
— Erase all items by pressing
d
twice when
XX items in the
Directory
is displayed.
— Press
g
or
D
to cancel a delete operation
before deletion is confirmed.
— Use
g
or
D
to exit the Directory when not
on a call.
— Enter a 1 second pause (useful
when preprogramming voice
mail access) by pressing
h
, at the appropriate
spot, when entering items. You
may enter more then one
pause by repeatedly pressing
h
.
