Policy
This section covers which network services are blocked by
the Firewall and which are allowed to pass through.

Click

, and then select the
Services
tab. A window
similar to that in

is displayed.

The
Services
window contains a table showing the defined
Network Access Rules
. Rules are sorted from the most
specific at the top, to the most general at the bottom. At
the bottom of the table is the
Default
rule. The
Default
rule
is all IP services. You can create rules to override the
behavior of the
Default
rule. For example, the
Default
rule
allows users on the LAN to access all Internet services,
including NNTP News. However, LAN access to NNTP may
be blocked by clearing the
LAN Out
box corresponding to
the NNTP News service.
