EFERENCE
(referred to as the intranet), you must specify intranet
settings for the Internet Firewall.
The following describes how to install and configure the
Internet Firewall to provide intranet firewalling.
To achieve intranet firewalling, connect the Internet
Firewall between the free and the restricted segments on
the LAN, as shown in
Figure 48
.

Connect the Ethernet port labeled LAN on the back of the
Internet Firewall to the network segment that will be
protected against unauthorized access.

Connect the Ethernet port labeled WAN on the back of the
Internet Firewall to the rest of the network.
Devices connected to the WAN port do not have firewall or
Web Site Filter protection. It is advised that you use another
Internet Firewall to protect these computers.

Connect the power adapter to an AC power outlet and
then connect it to the power port on the back of the
Internet Firewall.
