b To block NNTP access, clear the
LAN Out
check box next
to NNTP in the list, and click Update.
c To block IRC access, first click on the Add Service tab.
Then, from the Add a known service drop down list,
select IRC . Click Add , and the IRC service will be added
to the list on the right.
d Now switch back to the
Services
tab. You will notice that
IRC is now in the list of services on this page. To disable
it, simple uncheck the
LAN Out box next to it, and click
Update .
9 Switch on the cable modem, make sure that it is online and
restart the Internet Firewall 25.
a Click Tool s.
b Click Restart Internet Firewall . When asked to confirm
this action, select
Yes
. The Internet Firewall 25 restarts.
c Restore the IP address and subnet mask of your
management station to
172.16.58.15
subnet mask
255.255.255.0,
and reboot if required.

When the Internet Firewall 25 has restarted, make sure that
you can access the Internet. Enter
http://www.3Com.com/internetfirewall
to see if you
can access the registration site for the Internet Firewall.
If this does not work, see Chapter 6 for troubleshooting
information.
11 Obtain the Internet Firewall 25 registration code and
enable the your Web Site Filter subscription.
a Type your details into the registration form, and make a
note of the registration code when you have finished.
b To enable your Web Site Filter subscription, click the
Upgrades link on the 3Com registration page. Select
OfficeConnect Web Site Filte r, and then type the serial
number of the Internet Firewall 25. Also type in the
activation code for your subscription (this may be found
on the rear of the manual that came with the
