When you have logged in successfully, the Home screen of
the user interface is displayed. From here, configure the
Internet Firewall DMZ.
a
Click
Set Passwor
d.
b
In the
Old Password
box, type
passwor
d
.
Then type the
new password twice. Passwords are case sensitive, and
you cannot recover a lost password from the Internet
Firewall.
c
Click
Update
and the Home screen is displayed. The
status bar at the bottom of the screen shows if the
password was changed successfully – if not, repeat this
step.
6
Set the date and time. The Internet Firewall DMZ uses this
for logs, reports, and updates to the Web Site Filter list.
a
Click
Set Date & Time
on the Home screen.
b
Select your time zone from the drop down list at the top
of the screen. If you can’t find your city, use one with
the correct offset from GMT (all are covered).
c
Here, you want to use Network Time Protocol to set the
Firewall time so that the date and time are set by an
atomic clock, and are hence highly accurate. Check the
box marked “Use NTP to set time automatically”.
d
Type in the current date and time, in 24 hour format,
and click on the update button. This is necessary
because the Internet Firewall cannot get its date and
time from the Internet until the Internet settings are
configured, and the unit can access the Internet.
7
To specify the LAN and WAN settings, on the Home screen,
click
Network Settings (LAN & WAN
).
a
From the drop-down list, select
NAT enable
d. You do
not need to change the web address and subnet masks
of the Internet Firewall DMZ.
b
Set the
WAN Router Address
to
172.20.54.1
(as
supplied by the ISP).
c
Set
DNS 1 Server
to
172.20.54.253
.
